As a final adventure with the good friends I've made in Laos, we decided to spend New Year's Eve in Thailand. If you remember from Ian, Sal, Nodira and I's adventure there.....Thailand had some redeeming to do. Luckily, it's no longer rainy season and we avoided Phuket (ThaiVegas) altogether. We instead headed straight to Ton Sai, a little beach off of Ao Nang in Krabi, just across from Phuket. We also, wisely, avoided a repeat of the last ferry adventure and took a taxi instead.

We arrived late Friday night after a long journey of plane, boat and automobile. We woke in the morning to gorgeous blue skies and white sandy beaches. We also found ourselves in the midst of backpacker heaven with loads of funky bars playing reggae, serving up "happy" mushroom shakes and more dreadlocks then I've ever seen in one place.
